Providing services in a supportive, drug-free learning and training environment for at-risk young males, in order to help them become self-sufficient and fully-functioning adults and citizens.
DOD Construction Company is a minority-owned and operated business that was established in 1980 to build affordable housing for low-income individuals and families. In 1999, DOD Construction Company incorporated the New Life Recovery and Training Center as a vehicle for services better provided by a non-profit organization.

Program Goals
- To provide supportive housing; life skills and character development; educational support; and access to health and social services
- To assist participants in obtaining the skills they need to become gainfully employed
Mission Statement
To empower disadvantaged youth to achieve independence and self-sufficiency by providing:

- 24-hour supervised residential care
- Substance abuse education and awareness services
- Access to health and social services
- Psycho-social case management and support services via mentoring, counseling and/or support groups
- Life skills and character development
- Family reunification and community re-integration services
- Referrals to education and community support services
